Yeh Jawani Hain Deewani: Celebration of Friendship

I think Yeh Jawani Hain Deewani defined 2013 for me.

Each and every dialogue of this film is so relatable till now. I often find myself watching the short clips and scenes of it on YouTube and end up smiling while working.

This particular scene made me feel “things” today all of a sudden. The way Naina just stops dead on her steps and confesses that she has never traveled alone in her life or has not done anything in her life on her own, and the way Bunny just tells her to give it a try and assures that everything is going to be fine, is just immensely pure.

Neither Bunny nor Naina knows anything about what the future has in store for them, but the fact that Bunny assured Naina, is how most of the friendships work. Isn’t it?

We just give each other a little push and we survive, and sometimes, we grow.
