As the final season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine is airing tonight on NBC, here are some of the things that have increased the rewatch value of the show over the series, whether we have realized it or not!

  1. Relatable as it can be: The characters and the dynamic of the whole group represent the groups we have in our lives, be it a workgroup or a group of friends- you will see a Jake, an Amy, a Rosa, or a Charles. In terms of characters, each and everyone has been written and portrayed so real that you will fall in love with the authenticity of the execution, either immediately or eventually.
  2. Absolutely zero fucks given to toxic gender representation: This one show has been perfect with their representation of each gender, and how they behave, how they feel and act. Not a stereotypical, sexist or misogynistic dialogue was added to sell any plot.
  3. The greatest love story in a sitcom: Jake and Amy. End of discussion.
  4. A clear focus on pressing social issues: One whole episode was about sexual harassment that women face and another one was only to discuss racism. Major shows bring these conversations into the spotlight, but a sitcom to do that, and that too, in a manner to create further discussions and dialogues, was so refreshing to see.
  5. Creators realizing the perfect time to end the show: We have seen most of our beloved shows become annoying with time just because the creators could not/did not put an end to those when they should have. However, B99 has gone on for 7 seasons and after reaching the peak of their popularity and offering the best of the bests, they decided to end the show with season 8. Perfect decision!

So people who love watching shows, and those who have not yet checked out Brooklyn Nine-Nine, go for it! It is SUPER NOICE!
